Anti-Human Trafficking Niagara Protocol 2018
This group is comprised of over 28 agencies in the region, including Law Enforcement, First Responders, YWCA, Niagara Regional Health and many others. This protocol was developed in an effort to both lessen numbers of human trafficking, and also to educate the public regarding signs and red flags of being trafficked.

Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre 2017
Amazing Race Niagara-Partnered with the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre, several teams were formed and entered a friendly racing competition which garnered thousands of dollars in donations.
Indigenous Homeward Bound Fort Erie 2017-Present
Partnering with the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, the Indigenous Homeward Fort Erie initiative aims to lessen barriers experienced by Indigenous individuals and families regarding housing, academics, employment, and health. This project will see us mutually work to develop and provide enhanced ‘wrap-around’ services to support those most needy in our community.
Family and Children Services Niagara 2009-Present
We have formed a great working relationship with FACS Niagara. We work mutually to enhance services offered and to communicate efficiently. In 2018, we signed a ‘Memo of Understanding’ re-solidifying our relationship and ensuring services are provided with a holistic approach.

Family Counselling Centre of Niagara 2014
Partnered with the Family Counseling of Niagara, several sessions of ‘Kiigigidomi’-We Are Talking-Side by Side program which is designed specifically for Indigenous women and children who have witness or been involved with domestic violence.
Legal Aid Ontario 2014
We have formed a strong relationship with West Niagara Legal Aid Clinic through having one of their lawyers on premises every two weeks and through our cultural competency trainings.
Niagara Aboriginal Children’s Planning Council 2006
This group was formed through the facilitation expertise of Niagara Chapter- Native Women Inc. in response to the provincial Best Start Initiative which focuses on children up to 6 yrs. old. Through a SWOT analysis exercise the following parties all agreed a joint approach to planning for our youngest community members would be of great benefit.

- The Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, Fort Erie, ON
- Abbey House Shelter (pending grand opening ’07) St. Catharines, ON
The Niagara Aboriginal Children’s Planning Council has a Terms of Reference Document which guides our endeavours. There are two chosen delegates to sit at the Niagara Children’s Planning Council, a region wide children’s planning body formed in response to the Best Start Initiative as well. We sit at this planning table along side Municipal, Provincial staff, various children’s agencies including Family and Children’s’ Services (FACS), Adolescent and Family Children’s Services including Mental Health and Public Health, the District School Board of Niagara, the French School Board, the Catholic School Board and various other early learning and research groups. Our job is to ensure that aboriginal children’s issues are taken into consideration and addressed whenever and wherever possible.

Business Dept., Brock University 2006
We partnered up with this year’s graduating accounting class. A team of four students met with us and worked on the development of a three year budget plan for an Ont. Trillium Foundation Grant which we submitted for the Nov. 1, 2006 deadline. This grant, entitled, S.O.S. – Stabilizing Ourselves, if approved will allow us to re-gain some footing we lost due to recent fundraising declines. It will assist us to stabilize our administration and day to day operations while we continue to search for and apply for funds elsewhere to re-establish our arts and culture programs. We are grateful for the assistance of the Brock University Accounting students who helped us with this grant and wish them well for all their future endeavours.
St. Paul’s Anglican Church 2006-07
St. Paul’s Anglican Church has a rich history of working with NCNW. In the past we have rented space for our S.O.A.R. (School Outreach and Remedial) Program, our Annual Member’s Christmas Party, our Annual General Meeting and most recently for an Adult Bereavement Information evening with Jane Gordon, Client Services Coordinator at Hospice Niagara and special guest, Val Kerr, an Anglican Asst. Priest of Mohawk descent. At this meeting the church agreed to offer their space free, for our use as part of this program initiative. We are now engaged in offering a culturally relevant Adult Bereavement Group at St. Paul’s Church by-weekly. We are grateful for this partnership which formed with the assistance of Hospice Niagara.
